The pattern features few panels, and is designed to be made in one morning, and to be wearable by the afternoon! I love sewing, however I am particularly slow at it, so its going to take far more than a morning for me!
Both patterns are on my to do list, both of which will be tackled post baby, and once I find time again after getting used to an infant around the house!
In the meantime, I have another project to hand ....
So mission maternity dress has begun...
It's a shirt dress with a fabric belt, and a buttoned top, finished with a full skirt from Kushi. I bought it a full 3 sizes too big for me, allowing room to deconstruct and refit with a bump in tow.
So here is where I am up too ... I have snipped off the sleeves, I will need to make them smaller - they will also sit a little higher as I snipped a bit too much fabric on one side.
Leaving me the bodice as my next job, I need to take it up an inch at the front, and two inches at the back, inserting some expandable darts so that I can wear this early in the spring, and then easily adjust it for the summer when I will be bigger again.
I'm not entirely sure what I am doing, just experimenting as I go along - I will keep you posted!
Until next time, have a great week X
